Since the early 90s, Captain has promoted and produced show with/for artist like Murphy Lee, Young Jeezy Lil Scrappy, Silk, the late Notorious BIG, Next, Usher, Run DMC, Chingy, Twista, VIC, Howard Hewett, Hoopz, Keith Washington, Jim Jones, and comedians, Damon Wayons, Mike Epps, Katt Williams, and Rickey Smiley. In his earlier career DJ Captain use to kick off the hottest tours with his mix style for late Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Run D.M.C, Lil Wayne, DJ Unk, Young Buck, Deelishis from Flavor of Love, Twista, Plies, Scarface, Doug E Fresh, Pretty Ricky, Usher, Kut Klose, and Ja Rule.
Most of Captain's focus has been on bringing top named comedians and celebrities to local communities, such as " Kings of Comedy" stars the late Bernie Mac and Cedric the Entertainer. BET and Def Comedy Jams star, Maurice G., McGriff, Marcus Combs, Lavelle " Big Daddy" Crawford, and " Barber Shops and 2's own Jay Deep. Captain has also had the pleasure of working with comedian Dee Ray, Cory Holcomb, and MTV's " Wild n' Out" Nick Cannon. DJ Captain also gets into the sports game, and has DJ’d for the last three Andre Iguodala Celebrity Weekends most recently staring Lisa Raye, Morris Chestnut, and Doug E Fresh. DJ Captain also keeps the street ball scene hot by bringing the AND 1 All Stars Street Ball live to Central Illinois.
Captain is the founder of " Peace in Da Hood" a county project touring schools city to city speaking out against drugs, violence, and gangs. " Peace in Da Hood" has had the pleasure of performing with Civil Rights Activist Jesse Jackson. He has also performed for the Magic Johnson All Stars. Captain does his community service by giving back to the community by raising money around the Christmas season and donating to the Boys and Girls Club of America. Captain has even received a prestigious " Shout Out" from the Tom Joyner Morning show acknowledging his diligent and generous contributions in our communities.
Writing and producing television commercials aired on BET and modeling clothing lines can be added to Captains long list of achievements. Captain has a few more things up and coming such as launching his own hip hop magazine titled " Da Future". Also in the works, Captain is co-writing a play " Where's my Baby Daddy". An autobiography of Captain's life was released on May 13th, 2007. He is also founder of the Springfield Black Expo, going on its sixth year. To add to his resume he is a counselor and serves with the security for Springfield School District 186. He just produced a gospel CD titled " DJ's Prayer", featuring AZ One and Tehe. " Hoop Fest" is a basketball fundraiser founded by Captain to give back to middle schools in the inner city. Captain remains one of the hottest DJ's with hit single currently banging the clubs and hitting the streets. He is putting it down all over, from Springfield, Decatur, Peoria, Rock Island to the Quad Cities and St. Louis.
