C-NOTE JOURNAL- CHILDHOOD AND ADULTHOOD

As children we are all in a rush to be adults. As children we would mimick things that adults do wishing we can do some of those things, but once we become adults and start doing adult things then we get bored and frustrated and find the joy has left us wishing we can return to that simplier time as a child where " Da Folks" did everything for you and handling the adult things from buying groceries to paying the mortgage, car payment, insurance, utilities and working for " Da Man". As children, all we had to think about was school and how much we hated going but for me personally I loved school, glad when I graduated but for that first year away from K-12 was weird because me and folks like me were used to school all their lives. As adults we find out that the real world is not nice like childhood is. As adults, we either go to college or look for employment. As children, you were assigned to a particular school and were there no matter what but with your job, you are never guranteed that you'll keep that job. If your performance slips or one's appearance is not up to snuff, one can be fired for that. In K-12, if your performance was not up to snuff your parents were called in for a parent and teachers conference or if your appearance was called into question, one was ordered home to change clothes and return to school. One can get fired from a job but not from school. To all you young people out there, enjoy your childhood.... in most circumstances, these are the happiest years of your life. Just remember you live once and enjoy these years while you can because once they are gone, they're gone. As adults, life is what you make it, you have the control to be the person you wanna be. Either one can be a go-getter or be a slacker.
